The latest updates to the harmonised standards in support of the PED

The list of harmonised standards for the PED has been updated by a new publication of the EU Commission. New standards were included or previously published standards were updated. The date of deletion from the list (End of presumption of conformity) has already been specified for some updated standards.
Important PED harmonised standards for the Pressure Equipment Directive lose their status as harmonised standards.

In order to give manufacturers sufficient time to adapt their products to the revised versions of harmonised standards it is necessary to defer the withdrawal of the reference of same standards.

Presumption of conformity

Pressure equipment or assemblies which are in conformity with harmonised standards or parts thereof the references of which have been published in the Official Journal of the European Union shall be presumed to be in conformity with the essential safety requirements covered by those standards or parts thereof, referred to in Annex I of PED.
